RupiahX privacy during closed testing

This page explains what data we collect during closed testing, what for, and who else receives it. Closed testing runs in a test environment. Do not upload a real identity document: use a sample image.

Data we keep

  • Your phone number, to sign in and to send you one-time codes.
  • Your name and the profile details you enter.
  • The identity verification data you submit, for review by RupiahX staff.
  • Your transaction history: top-ups, transfers, payments and withdrawals.
  • A device token for notifications, if you allow them.

Who else receives data, and what

  • One-time codes are sent to your number through WhatsApp. WhatsApp receives your number and the code.
  • Notifications are sent through Google's and Apple's notification services. They carry only a generic line, such as "There is a new transaction in RupiahX", with no amount, name, phone number or transaction details. The details are only in the app.
  • Top-ups with crypto are processed by a crypto payment provider. The provider receives the amount and the transaction's reference number, not your name or phone number.
  • Cash pickup at a partner desk: the partner receives your name and the last four digits of your phone number, so the desk staff can match them with your identity card. No other data is sent.

What we do not do

  • We do not sell your data.
  • We do not send your balance, identity number or verification data to any partner.

Closing your account

You can close your account in the app (Account → Security → Close account), or ask for it through WhatsApp support from the number registered to your account. See rupiahx.id/en/close-account. Your balance must be zero, with no transaction in progress. Once you ask, your account locks at once, and you can still cancel during a grace period. After that, your name, phone number, devices, contacts and notifications are deleted. Identity verification data and transaction history are kept for the transaction-record retention period, then deleted. Amounts stay in the books for accounting, without your name or phone number.
